The Faculty Affairs Committee is seeking information concerning retiring faculty who are eligible to receive emeritus status per Policy 1391. The awards will be made at the May 30, 2018 Academic Senate meeting.
Departments that have retiring faculty who should be considered for emeritus status are asked to send their recommendations to the Academic Senate Office (98-P2-9) before April 16, 2018. The Academic Senate will be sending individual requests to all departments who have faculty who have submitted their retirement papers through Human Resources. Due to the fact that the Senate needs to process all requests from the departments, no department will be contacted after April 16, 2018. All resolutions must be submitted by the April 16, 2018 deadline to be considered this year.
