2014-15 Academic Senate Standing Committees

The Academic Senate is recruiting for Academic Senate standing committees members for 2014-15 Interested individuals should submit the Service Opportunities application. THE SEATS ARE AT LARGE AND ALL CONSTITUENTS ARE ELIGIBLE. -- DEADLINE -- UNTIL FILLED

The Standing committees are:

  • Academic Affairs Committee - TWO SEATS
  • Elections and Procedures Committee - FIVE SEATS

Academic Senate Elections

The College of Science has two vacant seats. The terms will expire in 2016. Faculty in the College from departments other than Biological Sciences, Geological Sciences , Physics and Astronomy, and Computer Science are eligible to  run for election. If you wish to run for the Academic Senate, you must fill out and return an Election Eligibility Statement to the Academic Senate Office by February 2, 2015, at noon.

University Service Opportunities

Learning Communities Pilot Implementation Committee -- The Learning in Communities (LinC) Implementation Committee is seeking a faculty member from the College of Science to participate on the committee.  The committee time commitment is a weekly one-hour meeting as well as limited work outside of committee meetings.   Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.edu DEADLINE UNTIL FILLED (January 26, 2015)

Provost Awards Selection Committee - The Academic Senate is recruiting volunteers to serve on the established Provost’s Awards Selection Committee. The following constituencies need representatives --  CEIS (2016) CLASS (2016), Collins (2016), Engineering (2016), ENV (2015) and Related Areas (2015).  The committee will meet three times—twice in March and once in April.  The scheduled will be based on the committee member’s availability. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.edu  DEADLINE UNTIL FILLED (January 26, 2015)

MPP Review Committees

MPP REVIEW COMMITTEE – JOHN MCGUTHRY, VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER --  –Two full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of John McGuthry, Vice President and Chief Information Officer. The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring. Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.edu DEADLINE --UNTIL FILLED (Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at noon)

 

MPP REVIEW  COMMITTEE – SHARON HILLES, DEAN, CLASS – Four full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of Dr. Sharon Hilles, Dean College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences.   The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

 

MPP REVIEW COMMITTEE – SHANTHI SRINIVAS, AVP FOR ACADEMIC PLANNING, POLICY AND FACULTY AFFAIRS – Two full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the MPP Review Committee of Dr. Shanthi Srinivas, AVP For Academic Planning, Policy and Faculty Affairs.    The Committee will begin its work this fall and will continue into winter and spring .  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.edu DEADLINE - UNTIL FILLED

 

 

Search Committees

SEARCH COMMITTEE –DEAN, COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION -- Six full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members are needed for the Search Committee for the Dean of the College of Business.  The Committee will work during Winter and Spring Quarters.  Interested individuals should submit their name and a brief statement of qualifications to senate@cpp.eduTuesday, February 10, 2015 at noon.

SEARCH COMMITTEE –VICE PRESIDENT FOR UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT -- –One full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty member is needed for the Search Committee for the Vice President for University Advancement. The first committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 12, 2015.   The university would like to make an appointment before the end of spring quarter 2015.
