Transfer Bridge

Transfer Bridge 2017

August 30 to September 1, 2017  (3 days)

Transfer Bridge is a summer transition program for incoming Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) transfer students. While transfer students have had some college experience, transitioning to a new institution requires an understanding of new policies, deadlines, requirements, academic programs, campus resources, and campus life.

EOP incoming transfer students, you are highly encouraged to come to Transfer Bridge! This program has helped students get a great headstart on their college experience at Cal Poly Pomona, and with connecting to EOP advisors, staff, student leaders, and others who will become your support network!

Past transfer students have found the EOP Transfer Bridge program extremely helpful, particularly being able to meet students that will start with them in the Fall, the review of their transfer credit report, and receiving information about financial aid and scholarships.

Transfer Bridge is for students who have been admitted into EOP, and only students who are invited are able to attend.

Program Schedule:

  • Day 1 - Wednesday, August 30: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (lunch will be covered)
  • Day 2 - Thursday, August 31: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (lunch will be covered)
  • Day 3 - Friday, September 1: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (lunch and dinner will be covered - dinner during our Closing event)

Requirements:

To participate in Transfer Bridge, you must make the commitment to attend all three days of the program. No exceptions. If you do not particiapte in all three days, we are not able to evaluate the impact that the full program has, therefore, we have a strict requirement that you attend all three days.

Accommodations:

For students who live far from campus (about a two hour drive or so), we may be able to accommodate you to stay in a residence hall while you participate in Transfer Bridge. If driving in and out of campus for three days is a hardship for you and would prevent you from participating in the program, please request to stay on campus in the application form (link provided below).

To Apply:

To apply for Transfer Bridge, please fill out the application. You will then receive a follow-up email to confirm your commitment to attend the three days of the program. If you request to stay in a residence hall during the program, you will also be notified if your request is approved shortly after.

For question or more information, please email transferbridge@cpp.edu. Thank you.
