Please share how your nominee exemplifies value #1:
Students and their success is the driving force behind the Student Affairs. Andy exemplifies the value of Student-Centered Philosophy
through his interactions with his community and student leaders. An example of this is Andyís interaction with students.
Andy is relatable, easy to talk to, and caring. Thanks to the positive environment he creates, his community is able to thrive.
His enthusiasm and spirit is contagious, as exemplified by two major awards that his community won, ìMost Spirited Hallî and ìTeam of the Yearî
at Relay for Life.Another great example of how Andy exemplifies Student-Centered Philosophy is through his mentorship and supervision
of his student leaders. The growth his resident advisor team had during the year was exemplary- through Andyís supervision,
he was able to navigate major transitions and help grow his staff into leaders. This year, three of his staff members have returned
to the position, and it is clear that through their work with him they have developed as leaders amongst the resident advisor team.

Please share how your nominee exemplifies value #2:
Andy exemplifies Interconnectedness through collaborating with other members of the University to achieve campus goals.
An example of this is Andyís Collaboration with Greek Life. In the past, University Housing Services had little partnership
with Greek Life. However, during 2014-2015, Andy formed a great partnership with the coordinator and learned about the impact
Greek Life could have with Residence Life. He assisted with PanHellenic Recruitment, and was able to engage Residence Life Team
members in many Greek activities, such as PolyGold and Greek Week.

Another example of this was his collaboration with Orientation Services. During a time of transition for Orientation,
Andy stepped up to provide consistency and support to ensure that students received seamless service. He regularly
received positive feedback from both parents and students, and the orientation team loved him.
