I am nominating: Gina Yamashita
Years of Service at Cal Poly: 14
Department: Admissions and Outreach
Position: Administrative Analyst
Why are you nominating this person? Why do you think he/she deserves the award?:
I am nominating Gina because of the extremely high level of customer service she provides at our admissions front counter. We have recently had to rearrange front counter and telephone staffing to ensure that prospective and current students were receiving the most accurate and timely information in regards to the admissions cycle. Gina has assumed this responsibility with positivity and vigor. She always makes sure that we keep our public in mind when disseminating information to see that messages are clear, but delivered in the friendliest manner possible. She has also allowed us to utilize our student workers more effectively by training them in front counter protocol and answering prospective student questions.
