60+ Fee Waiver Program

The CSU offers a fee waiver program for degree-seeking California residents 60 years of age and older. Cal Poly Pomona is proud to host this program, helping students 60 years of age and older to return to higher education and enrich their lives. The program is available to both undergraduate and post-baccalaureate applicants. New students must meet all traditional university admission requirements for the desired level of study.

Who is Eligible? 

  • Students already enrolled or who are eligible to enroll in classes at CPP  
  • Students who are 60 years of age or older 
  • Students who have been a California resident for at least one year 
  • Students must follow university policy if they choose to take a leave of absence from CPP
     

Do I have to enroll in 60 plus every semester? 

No, your participation in the 60 plus program does not need to be renewed every semester. Unless there is a break in enrollment in University classes, continuing students remain enrolled in the program. Students must follow university policy for leave of absence from CPP.

Submit this request form to Student Accounts and Cashiering Services (sacs@cpp.edu)

  1. Meet with an outreach counselor at Outreach, Recruitment and Educational Partnerships (OREP) for pre-admission counseling. 
  2. Start a Cal State Apply admission application.  Click here to view application terms dates and deadlines. 
  3. Before submitting your Cal State Apply application, email admissions@cpp.edu for an application fee waiver code.  Use subject line: 60+ fee waiver program.   
  4. Enter the code when submitting your admission application. 
  5. If you are granted admission, submit this request form to Student Accounts and Cashiering Services (sacs@cpp.edu) for the appropriate fee adjustments.
