CCE: California Component Exam

Due to COVID-19, we have temporarily ceased CCE testing with Testing Services. 

Please visit the Political Science Department for information on how to complete the CCE test while remote or contact Neil Chaturvedi at nschaturvedi@cpp.edu.

The California Component Exam (CCE) can be taken in lieu of PLS 2010, Introduction to American Government or PLS 4811, California Government. The 90-minute exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions to determine knowledge of the American Government.

Test location: Testing Services Facility, CLA Building 98, 2nd Floor, P2-4

Step 1: Registration

Registration for CCE is closed at this time due to COVID-19.

Scores

A passing score is 30 correct answers, or a 60% on the exam. You have one opportunity to pass this test. If you fail to pass the CCE, it is necessary to meet the requirement by enrolling in courses PLS 201 or PLS 481.
