Student Takes Second at Horse Show Nationals

A member of Cal Poly Pomona’s horse show team took second place in her event at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association national championships.
Katelin Garbani, an accounting major, won the Reserve National Championship in Intermediate Western Horsemanship last month at the competition, which was held in Lexington, Ky. She finished in second place out of 12 riders in the event.
Garbani is coached by Danielle Stasiewicz. The Cal Poly Pomona Horse Show Team performs at the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center and competes in riding events such as Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Equitation, Jumping and Trail Classes.
