Cal Poly Pomona to Celebrate Holidays on the Farm

The Cal Poly Pomona AGRIscapes Center invites you to get in the spirit of the season with its inaugural “Holidays on the Farm” festival on Dec. 1 and 2.

The festival is a farm-centered event with a family fun traditional atmosphere. Featured activities include a winter snow slide and play area, holiday petting farm, live music, festival food, hay rides, Santa’s farm for unique photos with the jolly man himself, an artisan fair, Cal Poly Pomona-grown poinsettia plants, Farm Store gift baskets and Starberry Farms Christmas tree lot. Winter clothing is advised for the snow play area.  As evening falls the Festival grounds turn magical with thousands of holiday lights, decorations and a few surprises.

“Holidays on the Farm” takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 a.m., both days. All activities will take place in the pumpkin patch field at AGRIscapes, 4102 S. University Drive, Pomona, Calif.

Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Tickets for admission and the Snow Zone will be available for sale online at https://www.cpp.edu/~agriscapes. There will be limited free parking in the field and in Lot U off South Campus Drive from Temple Avenue.

The Starberry Farms Christmas Tree lot opens Nov. 23 through Dec. 23 or while tree supplies last. The hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

AGRIscapes will have the petting farm, hay rides, Santa Claus available on the weekends of Dec. 8 and 9 and 15 and 16, visit agriscapes.cpp.edu for more info and times.
