Cal Poly Pomona faculty students, and staff will present their work at a Feb. 7 showcase on scientific research projects designed to address challenges facing California agriculture.

The projects that will be presented at the 18th Agricultural Research Institute Showcase deal with issues such as environmental protection, water conservation, human health and nutrition, food safety and urban farms, pests and diseases, and use of technology in farming.

The showcase is scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m. at the Kellogg West Conference Center, Building 76, on the Cal Poly Pomona campus. Light refreshments will be served.

The research projects are funded through the California State University Agricultural Research Institute (ARI). The ARI, which counts six CSU campuses as members or associates, supports research projects that explore and devise practical solutions to the challenges facing California agriculture.
