Food Service Supply Chain Consultant Named Alumna of Year

May 3, 2022

A food service supply chain consultant was honored as the Huntley College of Agriculture’s 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.

The university and the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association recognized Janet Erickson (’80 foods and nutrition) at the annual Alumni Awards Gala on April 30. The event was held on the Cal Poly Pomona campus at the Historic Horse Stables.

Erickson is the owner of 48 North Supply Chain Consulting. Prior to starting her own company, she served as a senior director of supply chain operation for Brinker International in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area, executive vice president of supply chain for Del Taco in Orange County, and manager for contract purchasing for Carl Karcher Enterprises.

The Alumni Association presents the Distinguished Alumni Award to honor outstanding achievement in a profession or a vocation; service to a local, national, or global community; or service to Cal Poly Pomona.

The association recognizes one alumnus/alumna per college and one alumnus/a from athletics. Honorees must have graduated from Cal Poly Pomona or the Voorhis campus.

Current Alumni Association board members and university faculty or staff are ineligible. A recipient may only receive the award once.
