Alumni, University Leaders Meet to Organize Huntley College Alumni Chapter

Alumni from several different graduating classes and majors gathered last month to discuss the next steps toward creating a Huntley College of Agriculture alumni chapter.

The alumni met with college leaders and Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association representatives via Zoom on Feb. 22.

“As our alumni network grows, we want to make sure we develop and maintain life-long relationships with our Huntley College alumni community,” said Martin Sancho-Madriz, the college’s interim dean who participated in the meeting.

The Huntley College alumni group would be a chapter within the Cal Poly Pomona Alumni Association. It would allow alumni to network with others in the same professional fields.

In addition, chapter activities also benefit the university and current students through events, programs, and scholarships.

Alumni are asked to fill out this survey from the alumni association to gauge interest in this initiative. Once chartered, the Huntley College alumni group would become the eighth chapter within the alumni association.
