Cal Poly Pomona-bred Arabian Named Horse of the Year

CP Guncyn Roses and his owner and rider Kirsten Luedde

A Cal Poly Pomona-bred horse was named Arabian Hunter Pleasure Junior Exhibitor Horse of the Year by the United States Equestrian Foundation.

CP Guncyn Roses captured three top finishes at the 2015 Youth Nationals with his owner and rider Kirsten Luedde. The performance was good enough to earn the 2007 grey gelding the USEF Horse of the Year for Arabian Hunter Pleasure Junior Exhibitor.

The horse’s sire was Cytosk and his dam was Barbs Mist. He represents seven generations of Kellogg breeding tracing to Incoronata, whom W.K. Kellogg imported from the Crabbet Stud in England in 1936.
