The portals for submission for 2018-2019 is open at: For a quick tutorial on logging into the InfoReady system, please see the InfoReady Start Guide.

The deadline for proposal submission is Feb. 26, 2018, 8:00 (hard deadline!). The full call for proposals is included in the InfoReady system. For questions about the SPICE program or the submission process, please email

The proposals below were successful proposals from the 2016-2017 SPICE competition. They are posted here with the permission of the faculty members. Please use these proposals only as samples, not as a definitive guide to what will be successful in the 2018-2019 call for proposals. The 2018-2019 competition will emphasize proposals that support the Graduation 2025 initiative.

Classroom Modernization

Classroom Modernization proposals support significant upgrades or renovations of classroom or lab space, beyond regular maintenance. Classroom Modernization proposals may not be submitted by individual faculty; they are always submitted by programs, departments, or colleges.
