A CBA professor with the International Business and Marketing Management department is being recognized during halftime of an upcoming men’s basketball game after being nominated for an award by the team’s second-leading scorer.

IBM student Jeremy Dennis averaged 11-points-per-game last year, shooting .649 from the line while collecting 27 steals and 11 blocks. He also submitted Professor Frank Bryant, Ph.D., when his coach wanted suggestions for the Athletic Department’s faculty of the year.

Bryant will be the centerpiece of a halftime ceremony Feb. 1 as the Broncos host Stanislaus State University at 7:30 p.m. on Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. He will be accompanied by Dennis, a Richmond, Calif. native.

Prior to joining the CBA, Bryant received his Ph.D. in Marketing from New Mexico State University and an M.B.A. and undergraduate degree from Florida A&M University. He taught at Howard University and Salisbury University with industry experience as a sales consultant before becoming a Bronco in 2008.
