People were still having in-person conferences when the 2020 SGV Economic Forecast was released. A lot has changed, prompting Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Business Administration and the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership to present a mid-year analysis of the area’s financial health.

The hosts of the 2020 SGV Update: COVID-19 Aftershocks, scheduled to take place virtually on Sept. 15, normally release their prospective on the SGV, California and the Unites States markets to kick off each year. Economist Dr. Robert Kleinhenz will re-evaluate the report he presented earlier this year before the pandemic hit.

Washington Post columnist Dr. Henry Olsen is the keynote speaker of an event also featuring a Q&A session with presenters following each segment. Olsen authored two books about the Republican party while gaining notoriety for predicting election outcomes.

The role of virtual emcee will be handled by cooking show host and professor, Dr. Laura Pohopien. Pohopien set out on multiple culinary adventures following appearing nationally in 2003 and stars in The Prime Ingredient set to stream near the end of the year.
