Brief Introduction of the University

Founded in 1938, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) is a public university with an enrollment of more than 23,000 students. The nine colleges of the university offer more than 130 degree programs in pursuit of academic rigor and excellence. Known for its unique teaching philosophy of “learn by doing”, Cal Poly Pomona is recognized one of the “finest universities in the United States” by the U.S. Congress, and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
