Instructor
Dezzarae Henderson, M.A., PHR-CA, SHRM-CP, is an experienced Human Resources professional. Her experience spans over 20 years. She has worked for major companies like Paychex, Inc., McDonald's Corp. and General Motors. In these roles, as manager, she combined her HR and business knowledge to help companies grow, develop talent, and implement strategies in highly competitive markets. As the HR Director of a non-profit, Dezzarae sat on the executive team and worked under the CEO on company strategies, employee benefits, and employee engagement. While operating in a union environment, she was instrumental in the negotiation and ratification of two local union contracts. Along with achieving company goals, Dezzarae was an adjunct professor for two private colleges. She taught undergraduate and graduate courses primarily in the areas of management and human resources. She was recognized as a knowledgeable HR partner, and was asked to be a reviewer and writer for HRCI's (Human Resources Certification Institute) PHR exam for California.
She graduated from Chapman University with her BS in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Management and she obtained her Master's degree from Azusa Pacific University in Human and Organizational Development

For Summer 2021: Virtual/remote instruction for HRM classes and presentations.
Synchronous sessions will be “Live session via ZOOM” and you will be provided access. You will be interacting online with your instructor and classmates for the entire time between 9 and 1 pm. A Wi-Fi or Internet connection is required.
“Activity,” indicates that is asynchronous session, it is a self-study session, you do not have to log in during these sessions. The instructor will provide more details of the expectation for the Activity/asynchronous session.
