Certified Associate in Project Management

Project management has been the driver of the U.S. and global economy and industries.  Organizations seek qualified professionals with the knowledge, training and certifications to meet today’s rapidly growing global economy.  The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) will provide you with the skills and competencies that will strengthen your knowledge to lead projects and programs.  Professionals with CAPM certification can play a unique role in successfully initiating and completing projects and advancing in their careers.

Individuals in any discipline and those who are interested in changing/advancing their careers.

The prerequisites set by Project Management Institute for the CAPM exam are as follows:

  •  Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  •  23 hours of project management education completed before taking the CAPM exam.

Paul Wyrick is a Project Management leader with over 20 years of experience in the areas of Project Portfolio, Program, and Project management. Additionally, he brings a high level of expertise in the areas of project costing, strategic planning, budget planning, and resource planning. He has managed various international and domestic projects, programs, and products in the financial services, healthcare, commercial software, public utilities, manufacturing industries, and non-profit organizations.  Mr Wyrick’s entire career has involved managing project teams & stakeholders virtually utilizing industry standard remote meeting management & video conferencing techniques.  He has an MBA from Pepperdine University, a BS in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton, and is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Synchronous sessions will be “Live session via ZOOM” and you will be provided access. You will be interacting online with your instructor and classmates for the entire time, please see the schedule details on the registration page. A Wi-Fi or Internet connection is required.

“Activity,” indicates that is asynchronous session, it is a self-study session, you do not have to log in during these sessions.  The instructor will provide more details of the expectation for the Activity/asynchronous session.
