Meloddye Carpio Ríos: Peruvian Art Talk

Please join us for a talk by Meloddye Carpio Ríos, a PhD candidate in Spanish at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Ms. Carpio Ríos holds an M.A. in Spanish and Latin American Literatures and Cultures from U.C. Davis, and a B.A. in Spanish from Cal Poly Pomona.

Her work deals with gender, masculinities, and queer themes in recent Peruvian painting and photography, and she will speak on this subject in a talk called "New Masculinities? The Male Body in Contemporary Peruvian Art."
