Closely adhering to the 'Teacher-Scholar' model at Cal Poly Pomona, several of our professors traveled to the annual gathering of political scientists at the Western Political Science Association Conference in San Francisco, CA. At this conference, political scientists from all around the globe come to discuss the latest innovations and cutting edge research.
Our faculty does well to uphold the 'teacher-scholar' philosophy, meeting the rigorous demands of teaching a full load on campus while still keeping up-to-date on research. Both Dr. Neil Chaturvedi and Dr. Mario Guerrero held leadership positions at WPSA this year, with Dr. Chaturvedi acting as section chair for the 'Executive Politics' section and Dr. Guerrero acting as section chair for the 'Media & Political Communication' section.
