Dr. Mario Guerrero awarded a RAND Faculty Leader Fellowship

GuerreroDr. Mario Guerrero has been awarded a prestigious fellowship from the RAND Corporation. Dr. Mario Guerrero has been awarded a Faculty Leaders Fellowship for 2017-2018. Through the Next Generation Initiative’s Faculty Leaders Program, RAND seeks to build diversity in public policy through strong engagement of faculty leaders across the United States, and in particular at colleges and universities serving students underrepresented in public policy. Faculty Leader Fellowships are awarded to 12–15 selected faculty to participate in a week-long policy analysis summer program held at the  RAND’s headquarters in Santa Monica, California.

The RAND Corporation is a research organization that develops solutions to public policy challenges to help make communities throughout the world safer and more secure, healthier and more prosperous. RAND is nonprofit, nonpartisan, and committed to the public interest.

Dr. Guerrero is a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at Cal Poly Pomona. Dr. Guerrero teaches courses on American politics including the presidency, Congress, and elections. His research includes work on campaign finance, the political implication of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and other facets of political behavior.
