Manuel Hernandez '17 Rewarded Sales Manager of the Year by Marriott International

It is no surprise to us that Manuel Hernandez received Sales Manager of the Year award at Marriott International's annual "One Team Day." is the epitome of hospitality.

While balancing his studies, leadership roles on campus and working in the industry. he always found time to share a smile and give a helping hand to fellow students, colleagues and the campus community. Manny served as the president of the Hospitality Management Council and as a Collins Ambassador his senior year. He was also the treasurer of the Club Manager's Association of America and a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. His list of professional experience is compressed of top hospitality management companies including Marriott International, Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and the Riviera Country Club. Upon graduating in 2017, he accepted a position with Marriott International's Voyage program at the Southwest Group Sales office.

"Working at Marriott International these last 2 years has challenged me and provided amazing opportunities for growth," Hernandez said. "I could not have excelled without the help of my wonderful team. I am thankful to work for the best travel company in the world and excited about all that’s to come!"
