Visiting Kobe's Women's University students are helping to make a difference in the community

CPELI has seven students from Kobe Women’s University who joined in this past August and will be with us through March. As part of their program, they have committed to volunteering a few hours of their time every week during their stay here to help care for kids, students with disabilities, campus clubs and hosting events.
Their generous spirit and positive attitude has been a welcomed presence here at our school. This past term, we carpooled over to Feed the Children in Ontario on a Saturday and helped package care boxes for mothers in need to show them some love during the holidays. As great as it is to have them enrich our community here, we can’t wait to see how they will take what they learn back to Japan and care for their neighbors back home. This has been a tradition with their specific group that we look forward to continuing at CPELI.
