High School Students from Thailand

On Monday March 18, 2019, Global Education Institute (GEI) of the College of the Extended University (CEU) welcomed a group of 10 high school students and 2 lead teachers from Thailand. The participating students and teachers are on a 17-day training program on “Science and Technology Innovation” at Cal Poly Pomona.
The students were selected and sent by Suankularb Wittayalai School, an all-boy secondary royal school located in Bangkok, Thailand. They will learn about “Computer Science”, “Robotics”, “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle” and “Artificial Intelligence” through lectures, lab activities and other hands-on operations. And they will visit with iPOLY High School and many CPP student organizations such as Student Government, Cyber Security Club, etc.
The participating students will have a lot of opportunities to interact and share their culture with CPP students and CPP community. They will also give a traditional Thai performance at the Talent Show Night to be hosted by GEI on March 27, 2019.
“We’ve been already receiving from the students a lot of positive feedback these days”, said Thanyarat Mathasuriyapong, General Manager of the organizer - Supreme Business Center, “I believe they will have a fruitful and fantastic program full of fun at Cal Poly Pomona”.
