Book Talk: “The Road to Resegregation: Northern Ca

1:00 PM to 2:15 PM - Grand Reading Room, University Library: Alvaro Huerta, assistant professor of urban and regional planning, will moderate a book talk/panel discussion centered on The Road to Resegregation: Northern California and the Failure of Politics by Alex Schafran, Ph.D., lecturer in the department of urban geography at the University of Leeds, UK. The author’s research focuses on the contemporary restructuring of urban regions with an emphasis on the changing dynamics of race, class and segregation across space and place. Prior to his career in academia, Schafran spent a decade as an immigrant rights and housing activist in California and New York. 1-2:15 p.m., Grand Reading Room (3rd Floor), University Library.
