Cyber Security & Awareness Fair

Thursday, October 25, 2018 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

10:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major: SOCIAL CREDIT: WHY SHOULD IT MATTER? Cybercrime is relentless, undiminished, and unlikely to stop. Legitimate companies are gathering your data to create a profile to sell or mine for big data. Have you considered how this could affect your chances of getting your dream job? Cybersecurity has been a hot topic with Social Media, the Internet of Things, and the FBI putting out a notice encouraging people to reset their router due to a potential mass cyber-attack. Join us on Oct 25th, 2018 at Ursa Major for our 14th annual Cyber Security & Awareness Fair! Raise your awareness on social credit and why it should matter to you. We will teach you how you can protect yourself with hands-on demonstrations (lock-picking, Raspberry Pi, Hacking starter kit, Social Media Experiment), poster presentations, keynote sessions from industry experts, and vendor displays informing you of the current products to enhance your cybersecurity. Look forward to an exciting day filled with prizes, giveaway items, and knowledge.
