POSITION:  Head Strength and Conditioning Coach (12 Month). Appointment in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

 

STARTING DATE:  September 12, 2022 (negotiable)

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Certified by one of these national accredited governing bodies (CSCS, SCCC, USAW). CPR and First Aid Certified.  Demonstrated history of rules compliance and thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws.  Must have a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes and a reputation of integrity, both professionally and personally.  Proficiency in oral and written communication and administrative abilities necessary. Demonstrated ability working in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment. Ability to successfully pass NCAA Coaches Examination on an annual basis.

 

DUTIES: Oversee the strength and conditioning program for 11 NCAA sports. Work in conjunction with the head coaches and athletic trainers to organize and design strength, power, speed, and agility programs for teams. The University is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for complying with all institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.  Reports to the Assistant Athletic Director, under the direction of the Sr. Associate and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics

SALARY RANGE: $60,000-$70,000 plus benefits
