About Me

Dennis McFadden’s work of the last 35 years has focused primarily on public institutions. He is currently design principal with the national practice of Leo A Daly. In his previous role as a design partner with the Los Angeles firm CO Architects (previously Anshen+Allen, Los Angeles), he was responsible for the design of 12 projects on five different University of California Campuses as well as numerous other public and private university, college and healthcare campuses. His experience also includes the design of hospitals, courthouses, high schools and multi-family housing. His work has been widely published and has been recognized with over 30 design awards, including 10 local, state, and national AIA Awards.

Mr. McFadden was educated at the University of Southern California and Princeton University where he received a Master of Architecture degree. He has taught at the University of Southern California, the University of Oregon and has served as a visiting critic at UCLA, Sci-Arc and Woodbury University. He has been a member of the Design Review Board at the University of California, Santa Barbara since 2006, and is currently a faculty member at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Mr. McFadden was made a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2008.
