About Me

Kaleen Juarez is driven by her desire to merge ecology, social justice and thoughtful design to create urban experiences that people can interact with in their everyday lives. Prior to moving to Los Angeles she worked with several community organizations and gardens to design, educate, and advocate for bringing locally-grown food and agency to communities within the San Francisco Bay Area. While working at the Port of San Francisco she contributed to resilient design projects furthering her drive to advocate for socially and ecologically-responsible design for the public good.

Kaleen is currently an Associate at Studio-MLA where she focuses on projects with an emphasis on urban ecology, resilience, and environmental stewardship. She earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from UC Berkeley.
