Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Blackboard Learn Original
Blackboard can be used to supplement a traditional class, to support a hybrid or blended course, or as the main delivery structure for an online course. Organize learning materials and grades, communicate with students, and facilitate student interaction.
EquatIO is a mathematical equation and formula creator. Type, hand-write, or dictate any expression, and EquatIO will convert it to digital math, which can then be added into a Microsoft Word Doc or Google Suite apps.
Faculty can use Cascade for creating personal websites to list faculty bios, office hours, contact information, classes taught, accomplishments, publications, CV, etc. Faculty interested in developing institutional websites (divisions, colleges, departments, institutes, centers, and programs) should instead contact IT Web Development.
LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within a learning management system (Blackboard). Respondus Monitor builds upon the power of LockDown Browser, and uses a student's webcam and industry-leading video analytics to prevent cheating during non-proctored exams.
Microsoft Office is the most popular and widely used suite of productivity software, including favorites like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Also take advantage of Cal Poly Pomona's Office 365 subscription, featuring online versions of your favorite apps, making it easy to share and collaborate.
