Project LOGRAR will strengthen the Cal Poly Pomona graduate education culture and significantly enhance the institutional capacity of its graduate programs to better serve, retain, and graduate Hispanic and low-income students with graduate degrees. With PPOHA funding Cal Poly Pomona plans to strengthen its institutional capability to provide access and success. Project LOGRAR proposes to attract Hispanics to graduate school and institutionalize services to help them succeed, thereby making a sustained impact on the lives of Cal Poly Pomona postbaccalaureate students and subsequently contributing to the economic vitality of the region.

Cal Poly Pomona in partnership with the Hispanic community and regional stakeholders, will work towards its goal of enrolling and graduating students that reflect regional demographics, through: (1) strengthening the infrastructure for the graduate student support services through the establishment of a Graduate Resource Center, (2) promoting affordability and access through financial support, and (3) developing innovative approaches to student learning, research and community engagement opportunities that support both students and faculty through partnership with regional industry and the community.
