The winter and summer institutes provide Faculty and Staff professional development opportunities.

Virtual Format
The LTD Winter Institute is for staff and for faculty (tenure track faculty and adjunct faculty) from any discipline who teach or may be interested in teaching a FYE class. This institute has the capacity to support up to 30 participants. The final selection will include considerations of diversity in discipline, and other perspectives.
This FREE 2-day virtual institute will include opportunities to:
- Learn about the FYE ecosystem at Cal Poly Pomona
- Learn about resources available to FYE faculty and staff
- Meet other FYE faculty and staff
- Learn about signature polytechnic experiences (PolyX) and how to embed them in your courses or programs
- Learn how to gain recognition for your PolyX
- Get a sneak peek of the LTD Summer Institute 2021
Faculty on an academic year contract will receive a $150 stipend per day. Zoom details and agenda will be emailed to you prior to the institute.
