Fee and Payment Information

Student Orientation Fee: $194.29

The Student Orientation Fee is mandatory for all new students.

Guest Orientation Fee: $70 per guest

Guest attendance at orientation is optional. You may add up to two guests to your orientation reservation.

The Student Orientation fee is not part of your Enrollment Deposit. It is a separate mandatory fee and cannot be waived. The fee will appear on your student account as a separate charge from your tuition charges (as financial aid is not able to be applied directly to the Orientation Fee).

The Guest Orientation fee is only applied to your account if you add guests to your orientation reservation.

Orientation is a self-supporting program. The fee helps cover costs associated with programs and services for incoming students, including but not limited to:

  • Parking and meals during in-person Orientation
  • Online Orientation
  • Academic advising and course registration
  • Virtual engagement opportunities with Orientation Leaders
  • Welcome and transition programming during the beginning of the semester

The Guest Orientation fee also helps cover costs associated with our Bronco Family Orientation and includes:

  • Parking and meals during in-person orientation
  • Access to the Bronco Family Online Orientation
  • Subscription to the Bronco Family e-newsletter
  • Virtual and in-person family programming throughout your student’s time at CPP

Refund Policies and Procedures

Refunds for the Student Orientation fee are granted if the following conditions are met:

  • You have not yet completed all orientation requirements.
  • Your request for cancellation and refund was emailed to orientation@cpp.edu no later than two weeks before your Orientation Day.
Refunds are not granted automatically and you must contact the Office of New Student Programs & Family Engagement via email to request a refund. You are not eligible to receive a refund after completing your orientation, despite any change in your admission status or plans to attend Cal Poly Pomona.
Refunds for the Guest Orientation fee are granted as long as the cancellation request is made prior to the reserved Orientation day.

Payment Instructions

Your Student Orientation fee must be paid by the start of the Fall '24 semester to avoid any holds for non-payment. The fee will appear on your student account as a separate charge from your tuition charges (as financial aid is not able to be applied directly to the Orientation fee).

Any Guest Orientation Fees must be paid by your reserved Orientation day.
