Students at Cal Poly Pomona have access to a full range of comprehensive health and wellness resources to help them feel their best. Services are available to all enrolled students, funded by a mandatory health fee that is included in tuition. Most services are covered by the health fee. All physicians are required to be Board Certified and other health staff positions are Certified and/or Licensed by the State of California. It’s important to understand how different aspects of wellness can impact your time at Cal Poly Pomona. Visit the Student Health & Wellness Services page for everything you need to know about supporting your well-being.

Student Health and Wellness Services

Student Health and Wellness Services provides students with affordable, accessible and high-quality health care. Most services are covered by the mandatory student health fee already included in tuition payments. No matter where your illness or injury occurred, know that you can use our services as a Cal Poly Pomona student.

Most of what we offer is at no charge to you. What is charged is always low cost and not marked up like outside facilities. Take advantage of what you pay for with your health fee!

Health Educators and Peer Health Educators provide Cal Poly Pomona students with health education to prevent the development of chronic conditions. Wellness Services provides resources and programs dedicated to various health topics including but not limited to nutrition, sexual health, mental health, physical activity, sleep and stress management.

Health Insurance Requirements

You do not need to have insurance to use Student Health & Wellness Services. However, supplemental health insurance is strongly recommended (and the law) for those times when we are closed or when you may need more specialized care for an accident or other injury.

Your prepaid student health fee covers most services. However, in the event you need more extensive care or need to be referred to a specialist, you will be responsible for the cost of that outside care.

Immunizations

The California State University (CSU) is committed to the protection of health and wellness of all students. To comply with this overarching goal, CSU campuses implement procedures to ensure that students are educated about and receive immunizations to prevent potentially serious and contagious diseases.

Students enrolled at Cal Poly Pomona must show proof of immunizations. Students can show proof of immunization by uploading required documents to their My Health Portal
