University Police Department

The University Police Department (UPD) is a full-service, sworn police agency that operates 24 hours a day, year round. The department provides law enforcement, emergency response, conducts criminal investigations, offers crime prevention and educational programs, support for special events, and a range of other services. 

Safety Escort Service

The safety escort service is available from your class to a safe campus destination such as to your vehicle parked on campus, Residential Hall/ Suite, or the University Village. Safety escort service hours are available Monday - Thursday after 6pm. 

Residential Halls Safety

The safety of residents is of vital concern to University Housing Services (UHS). While the University is a relatively safe place, crimes do occur on campus. Though UHS and University Police work closely to provide for your safety, residents must take responsibility for developing a safe environment in the residential community. Emergency Communications

In the event of an emergency, Cal Poly Pomona will provide crucial information as quickly as the situation allows. Information will be distributed through the Safety Alert System, which includes phone calls, email, the CPP home page, and more.
