Inter-Tribal Student Leadership Council

The purpose of Inter-Tribal is:

  • To give back to our native communities (reciprocity).
  • To be role models for our youngest native students and inspire them for higher education.
  • To develop strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • To assist in the recruitment and retention of current and future Native American students.
  • To encourage one another and continue building a strong network among students, alumni and North American Tribal communities and organizations.
  • To support Native American students through educational and personal development opportunities at Cal Poly Pomona.

Intertribal Powwow Council (ITPWC)

The purpose of ITPWC is to develop leadership capacities and give back to our Native communities through the development of a campus powwow. The powwow allows the campus community to celebrate and unite Native peoples’ and varying cultures, songs and dance styles. This also allows our Native students to develop mentoring skills and serve as role models for younger peers both on and off campus.
