Yes. All new/existing clubs and organizations must register annually

Registration for the 2020-21 Academic Year is May 22-July 1.

 

Yes, anyone can start a new club. You will need a faculty/staff advisor, 5 members (3 people for the executive board, President, Treasurer, and Scheduler).

Registrations are reviewed as received, and will depend on the accuracy of the submitted registration.  Generally speaking, it could take up to four weeks.

Yes. Greek Organizations must register each year.

Must be enrolled in 6 units, have a 2.0 term and cumulative GPA, and be in good judicial standing.

The newly-elected President, Treasurer, and Scheduler of each club and organization. We strongly recommend that Vice Presidents attend, but it is not mandatory.  There is a workshop for each of the three positions.

Presidents and Treasurers must also complete CORE Online! on Blackboard.

Yes. Each President, Treasurer, and Scheduler must attend these workshops, to maintain compliance.

You do not have to attend with the officers in your club.

Yes. You may continue to your registration at any time my logging into myBAR and clicking on the circle in the upper right hand corner, click “submissions”, click on the “organization registration” tab at the top; click on the eye icon under action on the right hand side.

Personal emails will NOT be accepted only UNIVERSITY email address for ALL members.

You do not have to attend multiple workshops, as long as you hold the same position for both clubs/organizations. If you hold a different position, you will need to attend that specific workshop.

No, you may not conduct any business on behalf of your organization until you have received notification that your organization has successfully completed the registration process.

The person that submitted the registration (President) will receive a message in their myBAR account, once the registration has been approved.

The person that submitted the registration will receive a message in their myBAR account, with information on what needs to be corrected and how to resubmit your registration if it is denied.  Once you resubmit your registration, it is at the end of the queue.

Your organization will not be registered.

No, you may not.  The president, treasurer and scheduler of each organization must attend CORE.

CORE Education Workshops

Presidents, Treasurers and Schedulers are required to attend a Registration Workshop. Each attendee must RSVP through myBAR.

You may NOT have another executive board member attend in your place. Make arrangements as soon as possible to avoid missing the registration deadline. EACH participant must register for themselves.

We request that President, Treasurer, and Scheduler roles be held by different students, but this is not required. However, students may not hold both the President and Treasurer role. Schedulers can also be a President or Treasurer, but this person will be required to attend both CORE Registration Workshops in order to complete registration requirments. 

Club & Organization Registration Education (CORE) Registration Workshop Dates

All registration workshops (President, Treasurer, Scheduler), are listed in myBAR Events.  You must RSVP for your selected event,  at least 24 hours in advance,  in order to receive access. .  All workshops will take place on Zoom.   

Clubs/Organizations will not receive any privileges (e.g. funding, Indoor/Outdoor scheduling, posting, etc.) until they are fully registered. It can take up to 4 weeks to approve your registration.

Club & Organization Registration Education Conference Online (CORE Online)

Each president and treasurer will need to complete the Fundamentals of Club Accounting, Cash Handling, and Fundraising and Donation training on CORE Online!, as part of the registration process.  Both CORE Registration Workshops and CORE Online! are required.
