Planning and Hosting Club Meetings and Events

  • ASI is here to support student clubs!  If you need help or ideas with your virtual programs, reach out to BEAT for resources, contacts, and planning tips.  For technical needs, Conference and Events is ready to help your meetings be high tech and meet all of the requirements for accessibility so no one is left out.  
    • Contact BEAT for help with planning events – from discussing ideas for activities and vendors to planning and executing logistics  
      • Virtual escape rooms 
      • Agencies and vendors who provide digital services (ASI website, University website, MDPR, bronco copy mail to )  
      • List of event ideas and resources, vendors, etc.  
  • C&E support providedConference and Events will be hosting a virtual front desk service and will offer consultations for student clubs that want to run their virtual event via Zoom but need help with the logistics to execute their event. C&E can also host bigger events that have keynotes & panelists through the AV department via Zoom 
    • Virtual front desk hours: M-F 11:30am-1:30pm & 3pm-5pm 
      • Meeting ID for C&E Front Desk: cedesk 
    • Also available via appointment by emailing cedesk@cpp.edu 
  • MS Teams will be created for all registered clubs for more information contact Anita Roberts at arroberts@cpp.edu 
  • Making your meetings accessible to all students: 
    • Because of the virtual format, some students may need or want to read captions for your meeting or event.  There are several ways of making your virtual program accessible to all and ASI’s Conference and Events staff can help you with your technical needs.  Some tools you may already have access to include: 
      • Google slides provides live captioning as you talk through your meeting or event 
      • Your Microsoft 365 web-based PowerPoint should also provide live captioning
