RISE
About Us
Come Experience Cal Poly Pomona Community with RISE!
Established at Cal Poly Pomona in 2013. The RISE program supports and guides high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and incoming first-time freshmen through the college transition and application process. RISE offers a unique opportunity for students to explore majors and careers while fostering connections with current students, faculty, and staff.
Historically, underserved and under-represented students experience a host of challenges, such as insufficient academic readiness, limited opportunities to engage with college campuses, and often lack strong supportive networks. Participants of this immersive bridge program will be equipped with familiarity of the campus culture, a network of peers and access to professional staff, and a comprehensive scope of knowledge and resources needed for a successful college journey.
