Subject: Campus to Restrict Access Starting Dec. 18

To our campus community,

As we experience an unprecedented rise in COVID-19 cases in our region, Cal Poly Pomona is continuing to follow the guidelines of public health officials in Los Angeles County and the State of California. As President Coley shared in her message to campus last week, we also urge you to do your part – wash your hands, wear a mask, practice social distancing and stay home as much as possible.

To reduce potential exposure risks, the university will restrict campus access from Dec. 18 through Feb. 8, 2021 to authorized staff performing essential in-person activities as determined by Divisional Vice Presidents. Employees requiring emergency access to the campus must contact the University Police Department at (909) 869-3070. For non-emergencies requiring urgent access to the campus, employees should contact their respective Divisional Vice President.

Campus access will be restricted by the closure of most parking facilities through signage and cones. Parking lots C, F5, F8, F9, F10 and J (Health Center) will be available for individuals who have received pre-authorization to be on campus.

During winter break (Dec. 24 to Jan. 1), the campus will be closed. All buildings will be locked and secured. University Police Department personnel will not grant access to any building without prior approval or exigency.

Please visit the Safer Return website for more information about the university’s operations.
