Subject: Chancellor Castro Announces Extended Leave Benefits Program

Dear Colleagues,

As part of the CSU’s ongoing commitment to supporting our faculty and staff, CSU Chancellor Joseph Castro announced today extended COVID-related leave benefits for full-time employees totaling 128 hours through December 2021. These benefits went into effect on March 29, 2021, for non-represented employees and will be retroactive to January 1, 2021. The CSU intends to provide these extended benefits to represented employees as well once the meet-and-confer requirements have been satisfied.

You can read Chancellor Castro’s full memorandum at https://www.cpp.edu/president/pdfs/co-033021.pdf. Please direct questions on these extended benefits to Jodi Stewart, Benefits Manager, at jlstewart@cpp.edu.

I hope you will take advantage of these benefits as needed and that they will prove helpful to you. Thank you for your ongoing commitment and resilience during this challenging time.

Sincerely,
Soraya M. Coley, Ph.D.
President
