Subject: Start of Fall 2021 Registration Moved to April 19

Dear Cal Poly Pomona Students,

In light of recent promising developments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am pleased to report we are taking steps to expand the amount of in-person instruction planned for the fall semester. In order to accommodate this increase, the start of Fall 2021 registration for continuing students will be pushed back from Monday, April 5, to Monday, April 19. This delay gives us time to increase the number of class sections with in-person components and to make changes to the class schedule before registration begins.

Even though the start of registration moves back two weeks, the order and priority of registration remains exactly the same. Your current registration appointment in BroncoDirect will be replaced with your updated appointment in the coming days. The end of the registration period remains scheduled for June 11, 2021. Please consider using this additional time to meet with your advisor and use your academic planning tools, like CPP Connect’s new Planner.

New incoming undergraduate students will receive academic advising and register for Fall 2021 classes during Orientation. New incoming credential and graduate students will also receive advising and register later this summer.

The progress state-wide in distributing the vaccine is great news for our campus. We are encouraged by the opportunity to offer you more options and flexibility for your Fall 2021 classes. Please know that we recognize your resilience during a uniquely challenging time and appreciate your ongoing patience as we take the necessary steps to plan for a safe reopening of our campus.

Please direct any questions related to registration to the Registrar’s Office or the Bronco Advising Center.

Sincerely,

Sylvia A. Alva, Ph.D.
