New Webpage for Potential Workplace Exposure Notification

Date: 10/21/21
From: Safer Return at Cal Poly Pomona
Subject: New Webpage for Potential Workplace Exposure Notification

To the campus community,

Information on potential workplace exposure to COVID-19 for university and auxiliary employees, including student assistants, is now available on the Safer Return website. The Notification of Potential Workplace Exposure to COVID-19 webpage lists the dates and locations of at least one workplace exposure of an individual or individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.

The webpage was created to provide transparent information to our campus community and to comply with California Assembly Bill 685, which requires employers to notify all employees who were at a worksite of all potential exposures to COVID-19, applicable employee benefits, and to notify the local public health agency of outbreaks.

This webpage lists locations that had potential exposure, but not necessarily close contact* exposure. Through the campus’ Incident Investigation Process, the university will continue to directly reach out via email and phone to all known close contacts of the individual(s) who tested positive. Unless you are directly contacted, you are not required to quarantine and nor are you considered a close contact.

Data on this webpage will be updated daily on business days (Monday to Friday), and will be posted for two weeks. Beyond two weeks, data will be retained in accordance with state and federal legal requirements.

If you have questions about this webpage or notification, contact the Safer Return Task Force at saferreturn@cpp.edu. You can learn more and ask questions at today’s Safer Return Virtual Town Hall. Or, you are welcome to attend any upcoming town hall meeting, which are held on Thursdays at noon.
