Vaccine Clinic for Cal Poly Pomona Community

Date: 4/14/21
From: Safer Return at Cal Poly Pomona
Subject: Vaccine Clinic for Cal Poly Pomona Community

To our campus community,

Tomorrow on April 15, California will expand vaccine eligibility to all individuals 16 and older. We want to provide you information about making appointments and about two upcoming CPP vaccination clinics.

Making an Appointment

Visit the state’s My Turn website (https://myturn.ca.gov/) and select Cal Poly Pomona or a vaccination center close to your residence.

In some areas, such as San Bernardino County and Riverside County, eligibility has already expanded to all adults. Visit CPP’s vaccine info webpage to see county-specific information.

As vaccine eligibility expands across California, we anticipate that demand will far surpass current supplies, and not everyone will be able to receive an appointment immediately.

CPP Vaccination Clinic

To facilitate vaccine distribution to our campus community, the mass vaccination hub in Parking Structure 2 will provide limited appointments on Friday, April 16 and Saturday, April 17 for CPP faculty, staff (including student employees), and students living on campus. The hub, which is managed by a consortium of health organizations, will reserve about 500 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, which is approved for individuals 16 and older.

Please note that Cal Poly Pomona is not requiring students or employees to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as a means to return to campus. This offer is for informational purposes only to inform our campus community of the option to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This is a voluntary opportunity for those interested in the COVID-19 vaccine. Interested individuals will need to select their own appointment based on availability.

If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity on April 16 or 17, please fill out a brief form. This form will close at 5:00 PM (PST) on April 15. Please note that a limited number of opportunities are available.

For additional information on vaccination distribution, visit CPP’s vaccine info webpage. Information about the university’s health and safety protocols is available on the Safer Return website.
