Subject: CPP Moving to Modified Operations on Friday, Jan 10
Strong winds and several fires in Southern California have impacted our region. Out of an abundance of caution and recognition of the impacts to our community, Cal Poly Pomona will move to modified operations tomorrow, Jan. 10.
For Friday, Jan. 10:
- The campus will move to modified operations and remain open for essential operations.
- Non-essential employees are encouraged to telecommute, while essential personnel would report to campus to ensure continuity of campus operations. Employees should contact their HEERA managers to confirm operational needs and assignments.
- Individuals whose work requires them to work outdoors may consult with their manager for additional information.
- For those who need them, masks are available from the Cintas PPE dispenser cabinets located throughout campus (e.g., Library, SSB, BRIC, BSC, etc.). Contact your department or divisional liaison to access the cabinet.
Through the weekend, we will continue to monitor conditions, including weather, air quality and the fires, and a reassessment will be made regarding campus operations for Monday, Jan. 13.
We recognize that the devastating wildfires have affected thousands of people in Southern California, including many people in our Bronco community. We stand in solidarity with those affected and are here to support our community during this difficult time.
Resources for the Cal Poly Pomona Community
