Safety and Emergency Information

Student Life

Cal Poly Pomona recognizes the desire for students to be connected and engaged with their clubs and organizations, affinity groups, Greek life chapters, ASI and other campus communities that remain an important part of the college experience. Departments under the Division of Student Affairs will continue to support these efforts during virtual instruction with ongoing online engagement opportunities throughout the semester.

In addition to following departments on social media, myBAR is one of the easiest ways to learn about these online opportunities, sponsored by both the university and individual clubs and organizations. Students should look out for email reminders for virtual events sent by organizations they’re registered with on myBAR. ASI also hosts online community events for students! Follow their events page for updates.

Staff are still available via email, phone, and over platforms like Zoom to communicate with you and identify the individualized support you may need. Visit the Student Affairs remote contact list to learn how to contact departments.

For more information about student life and engagement, along with information about Student Affairs support offices, visit and bookmark the Online Engagement and Support page.

Given current conditions, the Los Angeles County of Department of Public Health is restricting in-person activities at colleges and universities. Until further notice, all in-person gatherings of any size hosted and/or coordinated by the university, students, clubs, organizations and members of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community are prohibited. The prohibition extends to gatherings on and off-campus. This expectation is guided by the university’s commitment to protecting health and well-being, and the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CSU Chancellor’s Office as well as state and local public health agencies.

We recommend you review the COVID-19 Compliance Guidelines developed by the Office of Student Conduct and Integrity. These guidelines are in effect to foster a safe learning environment during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Student organizations that fail to abide by campus policies may be subject to disciplinary action through the Office of Student Conduct & Integrity.
