CS 4990 CSSA (3 units)

Python Programming for Teachers

Fundamentals of programming and problem solving. Python basics. Control structures, functions, modules, data types and structures, file input/output, and exception handling. Impact of computing on society. Computing curriculum development for K-12.

 

Prerequisites: Learners possess mathematical maturity at the level of college algebra.

Computer Systems and Networks

Number representation, Components and functions of computing systems, Computer Memory Hierarchy, Network architecture and standards, Layering and protocols, Wireless networks, Security issues in computer networks and social impacts.

 

 

Prerequisite: Basic computer literacy and/or permission of the instructor. 

Schedule: MW: 4:00-5:15 PM
