The 9th annual lunch for women majoring in physics was a big success.
To address the issue under-representation of women in physics, and to encourage more women to go into and remain in physics the department organizes an annual lunch with physics faculty for female physics majors, prospective students, and alumni. This event gives students a chance to interact and chat with faculty and other female physics majors and alumni about career paths, the physics major, and other issues of interest.
