Summer Bridge

About Summer Bridge

Summer Bridge is a FREE five-week summer transition program designed to help a select group of incoming EOP first year students transition from high school to the university setting by  providing a wide range of educational, personal, social, and cultural enrichment opportunities.

By participating in Summer Bridge, participants attend a Cal Poly Pomona class or academic component, build academic skills, develop friendships, and become acquainted with campus departments, faculty, staff and resources. Course work, seminars, and student development opportunities help participants build essential skills that will facilitate their success at Cal Poly Pomona.

This summer 2020, due to the COVID - 19 pandemic and stay at home orders, we will be conducting our Summer Bridge program through virtual platforms but our goals remain the same - to support student access and success.

Summer Bridge 2020 Program Dates:

Monday, June 29, 2020 through Thursday, July 30, 2020
Students MUST attend all days of the program (Monday through Thursdays).

If selected to participate, daily attendance and participation in program components is mandatory as you will be engaged in online class/academic components, workshops, seminars, and enrichment activities throughout the program.

Renaissance Scholars students: As described in the Renaissance Scholars Acceptance Agreement, Summer Bridge participation is mandatory for all incoming Renaissance Scholars first year students.
